Applications for admission to graduate programs (postgraduate diploma, master's, and doctoral degree programs) are being accepted by the Academic Registrar of Makerere University through the 2024–2025 academic year. At the time of completion, applicants must have earned a minimum of a first or second class degree (or its equivalent) from a chartered university. A Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) should also be held by applicants.
